My Message Today: MANKIND AMBITION TOWARD WEALTH, DOES IT REALLY GIVE EVERLASTING LIFE? ------ I saw a man looking very-good in form and his ambition, to gather whatever that is gatheable as a wealth in life. Taken a closer look at this down-to-earth son of a man, I sense that just one thing the greatest enemy, death separate him and his wealth. It is true that the richer ones store up their treasures on earth, instead of heaven. (Mala.3:1O) In line with my viewpoint, however, it remind me about Jesus conversation with a man, during his life ministry on earth. What causes this prompt conversation? Well, may be this very man might have feel or notice that his wealth cannot save or give him the needed everlasting life, to enjoy his wealth. Let us take a look at this conversation in details. Start: Now look! Someone came up to Jesus and said to him: Teacher, what good must I do to gain everlasting life? Jesus said to him: Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good, If, though, you want to enter into life, observe the commandments continually. The young-man said to Jesus: I have kept all of these; what am I still lacking? Jesus said to him: If you want to be perfect go sell your belongings and give to poor, and come be my follower. When the young-man heard this, he went away grieved, for he had many possessions. (Matt.19:16-22) After their conversation, how did this young-man feel? The Bible said that he felt grieved, because, why, he knew how difficult it is to forfeit such a mass wealth. Today, too, we have so many young and old, men and women, who will behave like the young-man with Jesus, who want to gain the whole world and loses their soul, because of their wealth. Therefore, I say to you: It is easier for a camel to get through a needles eye than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. --- Matt.19:24. What a wonderful world.
