My Millie is finally starting to get her mojo back . Yesterday she went to the door and rang the sleighbells that always hang from the doorknob ( her way of saying she wants to go out and the first time she has done this since she got sick almost 3 weeks ago. I let her out thinking she would stay on their deck but she surprised me by slowly going down the steps and browsing around the yard for a while. I had to help her back up but , hey , PROGRESS. Then she came in , went straight to the Christmas Tree ( again first time in almost 3 weeks) and nosed all the gifts looking for her special paper . She never tries to open any gift unless it is wrapped in their doggie paper , even the toy and clothes gifts that dont smell like treats. After finding hers and Lightnings and satisfied that she has plenty under there she went to the kitchen and got in her comfy bed where she usually stays when Im working in the kitchen but , again , has not in almost 3 weeks .
