My Mobile Phone Journey: It all started with me using an Alcatel - TopicsExpress

My Mobile Phone Journey: It all started with me using an Alcatel Phone that I cannot remember the model sometime in year 2000. I was truly attached to my tiny pear shaped phone but as levels changed, I swiftly embraced the Nokia craze. I cannot remember the model as well but one thing stands out for me. it had some fancy polyphonic ringtone that made it seem like a status symbol. I moved from one level of Nokia to another till I got a Nokia Communicator that cost me a whooping 115,000NGN in year 2007. This was a horrible error of judgement on my part as it had constant flex issues. I consider myself to be quite careful so I can only blame it on the manufacturer. I used this annoying phone for two years and finally saved myself by purchasing one of the sleek Nokia E-series models. I got some joy and was at this point addicted to anything Nokia. I stepped up a little bit when I ventured into the Nokia N-series sphere. One day, I decided to break free from this Nokia invasion and that was when I realized that blackberry was more than a fruit. I got an awesome white colored Blackberry Touch 9810 that cost me an extra 10,000NGN just because of the white color. My White Blackberry Torch 9810 was hugely disrespectful and was absolutely not bothered with my need for speed, efficiency and effectiveness. It taught me so much about the virtue called patience. I was always screaming at my BB phone and the dumb thing could not care less. I got upset one eventful day and hurriedly bought an iPhone 4s. If you believe the "hurriedly" then you will believe anything. Lol! I had a wonderful affair with my new baby until I carelessly flushed it in a hurried attempt to use the restroom at Cairo International Airport enroute to Malaysia. I was devastated. I was without a phone for about one week Then the sad news, my iPhone was fried said the technician. I wept in my heart. In other to ensure that business will continue, I truly and hurriedly bought a sleek and awesome HTC mobile phone that cost just 50,000NGN. I assured myself that it will be temporary as I await the release of iPhone 6 later this year. Fast forward to today!!! My best friend, sister and darling Esther Kelechi Agbarakwe recently had coffee in a Green Room with our big sister Melinda Gates. The awesome thing about this coffee session was that at the end of it all, she went to an Apple Store down the road and got me a replacement iPhone 4s. Warranty rocks!!! She absolutely dis-allowed me from giving her $200 to make this replacement. I guess I will always love her anytime I use it. I will still save up to buy the iPhone 6 that I promised Nnodim Ozurumba Blossom of Blossom Blcompere. This is a cool story inspired by my love for mobile phones. PS: If you are interested in either the Blackberry Torch 9810 or HTC Desire, let me know while my excitement lasts. Daalu nuo!!!
