My Mom, Margaret Rose Kazlauskas Waldruff, passed away 19 years - TopicsExpress

My Mom, Margaret Rose Kazlauskas Waldruff, passed away 19 years ago today. She was the most profound, extraordinary woman I have ever met. Mom was so smart, artistic, brave, possessed a heightened sense of justice and overall passion for truth and plain no bullshit. She passed on Super Bowl Sunday at just about kick-off - San Francisco and San Diego. At the moment I learned she had passed through the veil, I could physically feel an electric shock and breath being sucked out of my body. I was so frightened. The woman that had given me life had left her earthly body and I knew life would never be the same. So, in remembrance of this remarkable woman, I wanted to share a view stories and Margaretisms with you friends. During my first semester away at college, a creepy, strange neighbor from my hometown, who I didnt even know, sent me a letter that indicated he was quite interested in me and thought we could hook up sometime. This guy was well into his 30s, I was 18, and he had just a weird energy about him. It quite freaked me out, so the next time I was home I showed Margaret the letter. She snatched it out of my hand, marched up the street and up the stairs to the mans apartment, banged on the door, he opened the door, she announced who she was and said If you even so much as come near my daughter, I will goddamn kill you. She then marched back down the stairs, I was screaming, ..oh my God, hes probably going to call the cops on you for threatening him. Margaret looked me straight in the eye and said it wasnt a threat. He never bothered me again. Margaretisms ~Save your tears for something worth crying over~ ~The devil roams this earth and sometimes doesnt dress like you would expect~ ~Lay down, and you will die~ and the best....two days before she passed, I was sitting with her in the hospital; she weighed all of 70 pounds, withering away from the results of a brain tumor, in and out of consciousnes, looked up at me with all she had and said DONT BE NAIVE. Those were the last words I heard from my beautiful, smart, brave Mother. So much love. xo j
