My Moms emotional stage when I was getting ready to leave: 1) Denial: Its not happening I love #houston too much to leave. 2) Mean: She started to become super mean to me for a few days because she didnt know how to express her sadness. Its okay, she came out of it. 3) Worry: Who will cook for me? Or call me everyday to make sure Im okay (she still calls because its the 20th century) 4) Sadness: Goes without saying. 5) Nostalgia: Remembering all the times weve spent together during dinners and etc. 6) Broken: She would say things like you were the glue that held this family together, without you--there is nothing here. Made me feel ultra guilty but sure did peeved off my dad. 7) Over It: Plato is her new love--and all she talks about on our chat is about Plato. 8) Worry again: Could I find food in my new city? Is it safe for me to walk around alone. 9) Pity: Thinks I am a loner and have no friends in the city. (I am naturally a loner anywhere -_-) 10) Worry again: Am I sleeping right? Did I eat my fruits? Could I even find fruits!! Dads Emotional Stage: 1) Oh: Oh so you are moving? When? 2) Oh: Oh dang--your stuff isnt packed yet? 3) Oh: OHH you guys are coming over for dinner for the last couple of days? 5) Oh: Ohhh okay, today is your last day? 6) Oh: Okie dokes, and good luck on your journey.
