My Mother, my closest friend, left this Earth 10 years ago and she left me with these gifts: 1) A wake up call to step more fully into the one, precious life that I have been given. 2) A knowing that all I have ever said and done, and all that she has ever said and done, that was not from a place of love, has been forgiven. 3) A sister and brother and nieces and nephews with whom I can practice #2. 4) A burning desire to figure out how to look into a mirror and see what she saw: past the human flaws, which are meaningless, to the only meaningful thing that we all possess: pure light and the essence of life. Thank you, Ma, for these gifts that allow me to carry you with me every moment in the very practice of living and loving.
