My Movie Review: R.I.P.D. starring Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, and James Hong. I wondered why this didn’t stay in the theater very long, 20 minutes in I knew as I stopped the machine and put the disk back in the envelope. You would think such a good cast could make anything look good. Not! Grandson Kyle told me I needed to expand my imagination recently because I don’t like Sci-fi, horror movies, and cartoon movies. Well I don’t like movies about dead cops coming back to earth as other people and doing ridiculous stuff. Previews made it look funny, but not to me. With all the special effects it is just a cartoon with people in it. Shame such good stars wasted their talents obviously they just have to make a living. No stars here. It’s called a supernatural comedy, seems I don’t like that genre either.
