My Native American roots intersect with my privileged, white, middle-class history in an interesting way. I feel the need to change, but not the anger. No, what anger there is comes from the neglectful, selfish attitudes that let this sort of thing persist, here and elsewhere. Even my own. I know we cant change the past, but imagine what we could learn from it, given all the atrocities weve committed as a species. Theres deep knowledge there.
