My Onam greetings to all Keralites and others. May this harvest festival bring happiness and prosperity to all. I have very pleasant memories of my visits to Kerala. It is a beautiful state with lots of greenery, beaches, coffee, tea, cashew nut and other plantations,etc and the people there are very affectionate and and kind. Keralites are very enterprizing and hard working people. My first acquaintance with them was in the Coffee House in Allahabad ( which I often frequented as a young man) where most of the waiters were Keralites. I became friends with many of them, and knew them by their first names. Some of them later started their own cafetarias. I have seen Keralites all around the world, wherever I went. Lots of them are in the Middle East.
