My PLL light which I was using for the pico tank suddenly went for a toss 2 weeks back. Last week, I designed an LED setup using Chinese LED (around 6) and when testing, I lost 1 different bulb 2 times. I had to cut out with a knife (cut my finger quite deeply, of course and lots of blood dripping, stopped for 10 minutes, bandaged my hand...was a bit frightened to see so much blood) and got to it. Finished it, but again, the power input had an issue. I was using 2A, 12V for 6 bulbs connected serially which would come to 2.1 Amps. But somehow, the light did not work. So, I shelved that project. Around 2 days back, started another with 5050 LED Lamps. This was more successful and yesterday I finished sticking the stand. The LED light works find and the light is right and bright. I also used a volt controller up to 12V step up and using only 500mA and with this I am able to control the light intensity. Some pictures.
