My Poppy Seed Cake 1/3 cup poppy seeds 3/4 cup fresh milk 185g butter 2 teaspoons vanilla essence 1 cup castos sugar 3 eggs 2 cups self-raising flour Procedure: Grease a 14cm x 12cm loaf pan,line base and sides w/paper;grease pan pan per well. Combine poppy seeds and milk in medium bowl stand 1 hour Add butter,essence,sugar and eggs sifted flour to poppy seed mixture beat on low speed with eletric mixer until combined then beat mixture on medium speed for about 3min or until mixture is changed in colour pour into pan bake in moderate oven 4 1hour stands 5 min b4 turning on to the wire rack to cool.
