My Review of Postcolonial Studies after the completion of this course as a keynote speaker. A post-colonial study is a journey which reveals the travels of History from Edwardian Age to the Age of American Raj along with hitchhiking across the world catriograbhed differently by the colonisers and colonised. It is then when Culture, traditions, identities become a matter of continuities. Colonialism constitutes both after it and against it. Colonialism entered the phase of post colonialism marred by neo colonialism, Neo liberalism and neo imperialism respectively. On the contrary globalism in wake of essentialism has made an already remapped world more globally complex and globised. With negative and positive diasporic impacts, out of these complexities nationalities entered in a realm of Trans. With widening categories of other and post colonialism, one feels indecisive about the present socio-political syndrome gushing out of new isms and national ideologies. What is post and what is colonial seems to be lybrinthian in nature. A question of who is who and what is what in accordance with the question of colonial breeding at grass root level of cultures through cultural exchanger still need to be explored through the implicit and explicit study of term colonial and post colonialism. Postcolonial study is cyclical in nature and kaleidoscopic in taste along with hermeneutics of suspicion and power. It reveals that the social, political and biologically diasporic status quo differ and is imbibed in the dominant discourses of religious beliefs and its encroachment within the core of Nations vis-à-vis nationalities. Just like question of representation, emphasis should be given to the question of significance of the the fact that if subaltern can speak how effective it is. Is the Empire writing back is the empire completely independent or controlled by the unseen hegemony of the Empire itself. Thus with the Hegelian and Machiavellian shades, notions such as democracy were born from the womb of colonialism. Today its retrogression back to the womb which perplex the critics as to what is the true definition of Post-colonial.
