My Sincere Appreciation To My Friends It started like a joke, exactly a week today, sickness came like a thief, to steal and destroy but thank goodness, its plan did not succeed I dont think I have ever been rattled the way I was this past one week but grateful that the storm is over The outpouring of love and emotion that followed my absence and the sickness is touching My Oga and Boss, Elochukwu Ibe took the lead by recommending the best hospital in Lagos where I went for treatment and not only that he recommended, he followed it up and offered financial assistance to help in subsidizing the hospital bills without asking for assistance . Nwanayoeze, Im grateful and you have been a blessing, God will continue to enrich your barn according to his riches in glory For Going The Distance By Calling On Phone: I did not believe it when my Phone ringed non stop: Chukwudi Im your friend on Facebook was always the opening line. it is amazing when strangers go that distance to show love to a fellow they have not met before in their Life, Our humanity played out in my life and the calls I wont lie accelerated my recovery My Inbox was flooded with Get well message Reading your get well messages brought tears to my eyes. Nigerians are good people and the get well messages were from diverse Nigerians whose only contact with me is through what I do here daily. My belief in Nigeria was once again rekindled and I appreciate all who took time off to do that For these and many more, Im grateful. Thanks people for going that distance, for showing uncommon love and above all, for the empathy and your kind words. You guys rock and God will bless you all for me I felt so lonely all through the period I was away here, many grounds have been lost and breaking stories missed by my lens and radar but in spite of all, Chukwudi is grateful for Life, For the little moments and Gods mercies which are new every morning We are back and It is my fervent belief that nothing again will take me away from your service One of the biggest lesson I learnt during my hiatus is the need to institutionalize this platform so that even If Im not there, there wont be break in service From a heart touched by your generosity and magnanimity, I say Thanks people and An Igbo man will say: Daalu nu ooooooo
