My Sis posted a memory of Simons Grocery. A giant and wonderful family grocery store downtown. Simon Park (downtown) named in their honor was the parking lot. I smile at this. Every Simon, descendent, and all of Conway should be proud of the legacy. Beyond that, there were many (after WWII) small corner groceries about town. My nearest was (Hughey) Robins Grocery. Located at Donaghey @ College (SW corner). He and family lived near by on Donaghey. Had most youd need including in house butchering of beef or pork from his cooler. And even rabbit (which he kept behind his home). I recall Shorts corner, and Duncan Street Grocery by the Jr. High. Many have spoken of this before. But Its worth another look. :-)
