My Swedish FB friend, Jonas Thorsell recently sent me a video that he made during a trip to Vietnam in 2012. He was following a guide up Hamburger Hill in the A Shau Valley and filmed the video as he walked - short of breath too and difficult to provide commentary. It was raining and he was following a small path. Whats interesting is the view. Imagine us soldiers patrolling through this terrain in a single column trying to keep the guy to your front in sight and to also look around for enemy. Sure is easy to walk past something and into an ambush. If not following the trail, look to the side and get an idea of what we had to cut our way through when moving through the jungle.
