I cant take a trip back Home because I am doing daily hyperbaric treatments for at least the next two months. About three weeks ago, I had a section of my gut cauterized to stop the bleeding from the radiation damage, was diagnosed with an ulcer and possible h. Pylori infection. I am still in process with addressing the bladder damage and solutions. I am doing the best I can to accept where I am physically and see what opportunities God is presenting in this rather than where I am being limited. I had some idea of how challenging it would be to change my relationship and communications on this platform, but was aware that I wouldnt know the fullness of that change, or ways of managing it until I had taken a long step back. When you are far from your community physically and home bound due to an illness, facebook is a great tool. It has also been hugely helpful in organizing support through my Cancer Journey and letting people know the ups and downs of the Journey. After Completing my facebook Long Durational Installation on December 4th, taking a break from the platform and sitting with Next Steps, I have a first draft of action on how to maintain my Installation on my wall, minimize fallout here from my activism, and yet communicate about my health journey, personal life and take joy in the posts of your lives. I have finished up my application for disability and will now be working on getting a file of my facebook account to send to the Marina Abramovic Institute mai-hudson.org/about-mai/ along with continuing the prose work that is the next component in this series of durational work. I have a lot of optimism for the fruits of that relationship on my work. Working through how to utilize this platform with my decisions is also part of the Process, and durational art is about the beauty of process. As I work to implement the above, know that if Im not posting, Im still thinking about you. You never leave my Heart.
