My Take On Edward Snowden…NSA Whistleblower… If you look at Edward Snowden’s actions, which made known to the public the secret government involvement that is said to create a method of finding those who are a threat to this nation, he actually violated government protocol. Having said that, any true man of honor and integrity would have been unable to remain silent and still be a man of honor and integrity. Because of this, I applaud Snowden’s choice of being truthful, even as a great risk to his personal survival. In reality, our government is angry not because government protocol was not followed, but that their unconstitutional methods, and violations to the citizens of this nation have been exposed. You see, the government sees only Snowden as the problem, and seem to be completely dismissing the fact that Snowden is actually speaking the truth about the injustices to the people of this nation, and how those actions go against the words of the United States Constitution. It seems that with newly passed legislation, executive orders, the use of czars, and now the many scandals that have surfaced, the government has lost site of the words of the United States Constitution, and obviously that document is no longer the guiding force, as it relates to the laws of the land. Snowden is in much the same position of a bystander who saw a group of thugs murder someone, and came forward and reported the crime. Even though, he is acting in the best interest of the people, the thugs want him silenced and deemed irrelevant. The true criminal activity is with the government, not Edward Snowden. And yet, we know who will prevail with what is to come…Vic Damico
