My Thoughts for this day of September 12th, 2014: Life is tough and it is hands down the longest thing any of us will ever do. Lots of folks in this world take advantage of others good nature and never give a second thought, or even realize it I suppose. But at the end of the day, if you harden your heart against hurt, its just going to become a hard heart and nothing can get it. Even the good things that we need cant get in. Always strive to be tough in all situations but never to become hardened toward or by the actions of others. This includes oneself. You can never be too hard or too soft on yourself. Allow yourself to make mistakes in the act of trying to succeed, for that is often the best lesson learned. But do not allow mistakes to become your norm or to define you. Press yourself to be ever evolving into a more whole and complete being that has the appropriate amount of love and respect for all things, yet hold close to a sense of wariness and cautious review that protects all from those who would truly and genuinely seek to destroy that which they cannot possess or create on their own. Give prayers of Thanks that each day you awaken to another set of tests and opportunities to grow and learn and cause happiness for those around you and thereby find some of your own. Be happy for the pain for it serves to make you realize that you are human and you have earned the life you still have. Be ever mindful of those far worse than yourself and find place in your prayers to seek a bit of solace for them. Finally strive each day to be better than when you went to sleep the night before.
