My Top 10 Albums of 2014 - #4 Opera - Pale Communion A departure from their previous sounds, dont get me wrong its still very much Opeth, but it is from the first play leaves you blown away. Throwing back to early sounds of 70s Prog stylings era. It would have been much higher, but I felt like some sounds were almost carbon copies of songs from that past, so it dropped. Otherwise, the songs & the blending for the album as a whole is nearly perfect. Standout songs: Eternal Rains; Cusp of Eternity; Moon Above, Sun Below; Goblin; Faith in Others
