My Top 50 Celebrity Encounters All encounters took place in L.A. unless otherwise specified: Alice in Chains: Not a fan of their sound, but they were cool to me when I met them at the Grammys. Kirstie Alley: Kooky. I met her at her New Years party. Her house was not so clean. Gloria Allred: She hates men. I sat next to her at a dinner party. Yikes! Steve Antin: I was actually in a music group with this jerk for about a minute. He used to phone Jodie Foster in front of me trying to impress me. After the group fell through, he pretended to not know me at a party. I laughed when I saw a recent pic of him. B-52s: I met them after their show. They were pleasant. Their manager is a creep. Candice Bergen: She was super nice and classy. Kim Carnes: Insecure. I met her at a recording studio in Nashville. She kept pushing her hair in front of her face when I talked to her. Tia Carrere: Fun! Ive hung out with her a few times and joined her for dinner recently here in Palm Springs. Shes a beauty. Andy Cohen: Completely full of himself. I knew him for years before he got famous. We messed around a couple of times, but for the life of me I cant remember what we did. The only person that I have ever stood up. He deserved it. I met him twice in Nashville. Lemmy: Respectful. We shook hands after my show at Goldfingers. Little Richard: He had a frozen smile both times that I met him. Like meeting a wax figure. Madonna: She smiled and said hello to me at a party. She was with Warren Beatty. Marilyn Manson: Spooky. He approached me at the Howard Stern movie premiere in NYC. I cant remember what we talked about because I was drunk. I swear that he has no soul. Marky Mark: He scowled at me. I was playing Rick Springfield loud in my convertible and he was exiting Golds Gym. Its ok, I still love Good Vibrations. Rue McClanahan: I never cared for The Golden Girls, but she could not have been nicer to me. I met her at The Cocoanut Grove in the Ambassador Hotel. Matthew McConaughey: He physically pushed me out of his way. He is a complete douchebag. I should have punched him in the nose. Tim McGraw: Introduced himself to me in Nashville. Invited me to join him and Faith Hill for breakfast. Very cool. Rosie ODonnell: I introduced myself at a restaurant and she was polite. We were both on Star Search and I was an extra in her movie Exit to Eden. Iggy Pop: Super nice! Nancy Reagan: Big head. Small body. RuPaul: We knew each other for awhile. We talked about doing a duet, but could not agree on the song choice. He wanted to do Joan Jetts Black Leather and I wanted to do my song Dirty Dirty. Neil Sedaka: I met him in San Francisco. He played his piano and I sang his song Solitaire at his home in NYC. We were friends until he tried to rip me off. Richard Simmons: Surprisingly nice. I met him in NYC. Tom Sizemore: Crazy. He used to chat me up at Eastons Gym. Kiefer Sutherland: He directed me in a Richard Marx music video. I learned a lot from him. Eddie Van Halen: He was happy holding hands with Valerie Bertinelli. Rufus Wainwright: Yuck. John Waters: Very polite. Shelley Winters: She hit on me at a photo shop. She told me that I was better looking than my photo (yeah, right). Chely Wright: Pretty. I hit on her in Nashville. I made her face twitch. Now I know why. Dwight Yoakam: Hes very ordinary. Hung out together at the Hollywood Capital Records recording studio. I was there with Joy Lynn White. She was singing on his record.
