My V8 race car drive day begins as I registered at our reception prior to my pre-drive tuition. This prepared me for driving a race prepared V8 race car with information on handling the car, cornering, braking and the track map. I then was ushered to pit lane and fitted with my own race suit and helmet. Prior to my drive, I was asked whether you would prefer Ford or Holden to drive! I was then strapped in behind the wheel of a fantastic Holden Commodore, introduced to my personal race driving instructor and off I went for the drive of a lifetime! Through an intercom system built into the helmets, my in-car coach encouraged me through my drive with advice on gear changes and brake points so that I can drive fast and safely. While not a race, there are no limits on speed and overtaking is common during this thrilling drive experience! This would be something I would love to do again.....and again....and again!
