My Very Own Rainbow I know of a person who is like a rainbow Dancing in the sky Do you know what name she goes by? She represents patience and peace She shares calmness with everyone she meets For needy people she gives room thats her colour blue. In her search for harmony lets move to green For restless people whos ill her encouragements the medicine. By the end of the rainbow we can see Indigo who symbolizes infinity of her wisdom, faith, love and responsibility. In the kitchen, shes the expert If theres a need for helping, shes your doctor Her creativity is most unique thats what orange is. As for the red, be careful not to play with the switch of the light of our home or youll face the wrath of it all. Looking back on the pages of history I can see shes from the 60s But nevertheless, she is my Sleeping Beauty a sight greater than Violet and her royalty Yellow can testify of her cheerfulness higher than Everest Her vibrance dulling the sun only because of her presence. And much to my dismay my words are at the edge But Red still has something to say and that is his existence has yet another face. Other than anger, she symbolizes the heart the love she gives and the affection she shows Do you know who it is? Its my mother, the rainbow, I know. #poetry2014sanvitores
