My adrenaline is racing! I climb my first White Mountain the day after tomorrow. Im staying at a hostel in Glencliff, N.H. for wfs (work for stay). So i think Im picking up trash tomorrow but i get a bunk in a tent and a shower ( also in a tent. lol) for two nights. today was grueling. it was either steep wet rocky terrain, or muddy bogs. Two mountains tho. Im getting faster. but ill have to slow down for the whites. Just heard a story from a couple hiking south and they had to be rescued from Mt. Washington. So, it gets really real from here on out. Im mostly worried about my sleeping bag, its only a 40 degree bag, and should probably have a 25. but i guess ill find out soon enough. lol. I also have a Mylar emergency blanket, and rain gear that i can wear to bed. and if need be , my boots. i can also (if i get to the destination on time) ask for wfs at a Hut owned by the people who own the white mountains. the AMC ( Appalachian Mountain Club). but thats gonna be chance. so i plan on stealth camping a lot.
