My adventure for the Month...It is always enjoyable to be out in nature!!! Headed out towards the Frankfort exit to look for the snowy...didnt see it which is my norm for searching for snowys. :) Then up to try to find the Long Eared owls. I honestly figured I would not find them, but since I had never been to that area, thought might as well check it out and enjoy. By dumb luck, a lot of walking and frozen fingers...I found two of them together. What Beautiful Owls!! I could have sat there all day and watched them, but stayed briefly so they would not be disturbed. A lifer for me!!! Just loved it!!!! I also saw a northern Harrier, but cant count it, I didnt get a photo confirmation of it. I had already put my gear away, Another beautiful raptor!!! Saw numerous Red tails and kestrels on the drive up and back home. Also drove over to The Burn to check it out...need to come back when it is not a mud fest...roads around there used to be gravel now just mud! It was a good day!! Happy birding all!
