My amazing girl had a challenging week. On Tuesday, she was hit by a car on Magnolia while in a cross walk. She is bruised, banged, and sore but no major organs were hurt and no broken bones. We are ever thankful....She sat out of swimming and basketball this week but the hardest sideline was for dance. Shes been practicing with her troupe since August for Alice on stage. She watched her pals, practiced she could, iced, elevated and rested and tonight she limped her way thru the big performance with a smile bright enough to light all of Northern California. She is a warrior. I often tell her that I learn something from her every day. This week, I feel like an entire life lesson was bestowed. She reminded me again how much grace, endurance, intelligence and reason she has. She handled herself with maturity, grit, and a sprinkle of humor that made me smile at the moments I needed it most. I love you, Jillian. And Im so proud of you. Thank God youre ok. xoxo mom
