My annual tradition of sharing a 70s-themed TV episode featuring - TopicsExpress

My annual tradition of sharing a 70s-themed TV episode featuring the leading character celebrating his birthday on my birthday today continues as it was since, well, maybe the past four years. Here are some interesting facts behind the episode: + Erics 17th birthday is on on S01E02; later in the ninth episode during the same season Thanksgiving is held. In S05E08 it is Thanksgiving again, but Eric is still 17 who doesnt turn 18 until S06E03. + Here in this episode it is revealed that Bob and Midge Pinciotti had an older daughter named Valerie. She is either in college or off on her own, since Midge brought a book of poems and stated that one helped her when Valerie went off to college. + This episode marks the first appearance of Erics sister Laurie. + The sound of the car burn out is used while the That 70s Show logo shakes into view during the intro. This is one of only a few episodes to differentiate from the normal version of the intro used later. Here are some amusing comments that I would like to talk about this episode: + The episode number is S01E02 and my birthday is on January 2 (1/2) - coincidence? + When Kitty asks why cars couldnt play records on it (in place of cassette and 8-track players) it sounds like shes predicting disc players that wouldnt come out two decades later. + Kelso sure as heck wasnt listening when Laurie was talking to him; of course if he were in the beach he would be in the water now. + Kittys fantasy with Eric being tied up by people that appear to what looks like hookers and pimps is totally hilarious. + This is the first time Fez mentions his country but cant specify what name it is; I guess that would either Mexico or Brazil. + I know well what a Fallopian Tube is. https://youtube/watch?v=T13BmdR_HVM
