My answer to a Jonathanian that wont mind his business; his - TopicsExpress

My answer to a Jonathanian that wont mind his business; his question: where were we four year ago: let me ask you a few questions and hope you will give answers that do not smack of the usual sounding more Jonathan than Jonathan himself: Where were we four years ago on the issue of security and where are we today? What is the situation with our health sector? Are you even aware that a section of the health sector is on strike as we speak? What is the situation with electricity supply today? Are you aware that generation has dropped to below 3,500 megawatts? What is the situation with our education today? Do you know how unsettled that sector has become even with a famed PhD holder as President? Are you aware that Nigerians spend billions of Naira yearly on their children’s education in nearby Ghana? Are you aware that it costs a billion Naira to construct one kilometre road in Nigeria as against the World Bank’s benchmark of N234m? Can you tell me what your darling president has done on the anti-corruption front? Are you aware of how this your darling president used the Police to rubbish the principle of separation of power by ordering the invasion of the National Assembly? I know you will accuse me of jumping to conclusion. But let me ask you how responsible you will look if I come to your home blaming your wife and children for the woes there rather than confronting you the head. Are you aware that the buck stops at the table of the leader? Your greatest flaw is that you think everybody should sing the presidents praise because of the Niger Bridge. Have you asked yourself how much that bridge was awarded for? Are you aware that apart from the northeast no other ethnic group has suffered more from this insurgency challenge than your people in terms of the loss of lives and properties? You know how industrious your people are, as a result of which they are found in every nook and cranny of the nation engaged in businesses. Do you know what your darling presidents timidity, insensitivity and indecisiveness have cost Nigeria and so many parents with this insurgency? I believe you are informed on international politics to know how leaders respond to crisis situations in their nations. Its so easy for your darling president to sit in the comfort zone of Aso Rock and be issuing press statements denouncing insurgency and condoling with victims. If that is what leadership is all about to you then I am disappointed. We see leaders visiting their troops from time to time in far away Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other troubled spots where they have their troops. What has your darling president done? I want to see a Nigeria beyond my immediate benefit; I want to see a Nigeria all of us are proud of, notwithstanding which ethnic group or religion you belong to. Is it vintage your likes that your brother Okorocha is aspiring to pick up the Presidential ticket of APC and youre busy singing the praise of an Otuoke boy? Charity sure begins abroad with you!
