My apologies for this. Facebook broke the link to my website, so Ive rewritten and reposted. Dear fans of gripping, historical adventure fantasy novels, I’m aiming for 1000 sales on Friday for Roger Spoffin. That could possibly come from 1000 different people, however, I don’t have 1000 friends at the moment. So I’ve priced the book as cheaply as I can to allow people to buy multiple copies as gifts. The 3 ways to support the launch are to buy it; to share it (which many of you are doing, thank you) and to gift it. Whatever you choose to do, thank you. If youve never gifted a book before, heres how. Australians can only gift books through the US Amazon site. Australians can join the US site. Americans can gift through both Amazon and iBooks. The process is: Step 1: Australians: Join Amazon (the US site). Americans: Join either Amazon or iBooks. You just need an email, password and credit card. Step 2: Build a list of friends. 5 copies will cost you US$14.95. 10 copies will cost you US$29.90. 1000 copies will cost you US$2999 (but Ill take you out to lunch. Somewhere really nice.) Check your wallet. Now choose how many books you want to gift and build your list of friends. Youll need their emails. Step 3: Gift them. Search for Roger Spoffin. On Amazon: Top right on the books page is a Green box with two Orange buttons. One says Give as a Gift. On iBooks, there is a small drop down menu next to the books price. The top option is Gift this Book. Step 4: From now on its simple. However, it is key to understand that the sale is not counted until the book is downloaded. And ideally, that needs to fall during on Dec 12, US time. So, for Australians, in the message space, please write something like, Dear xyz, Im gifting you this book to support an author friend of mine. Please download it between December 12, 4pm and December 13, 7pm. Americans can simply write, Please download on Friday, December 12. Step 5. Once youve done it, you’ll be asked if youd like to gift another book. Thats up to you! Please don’t be tempted to buy yourself multiple copies, that is, re-clicking the ‘Buy Now’ button (rather than the ‘Give as a Gift’). Amazon won’t like you for doing that and iBooks wont permit it. Whichever way you choose to support the book’s launch, thank you! It’s been a real thrill to hear the responses of so many readers so far. Kind regards, Kenton Webb https://youtube/watch?v=zUqqaEd6-VU&app=desktop
