My assertion is Candidate Mary Headrick (D-Who Cares) is being rather incomplete discussing the capacity of the 3rd District Congressman to do any more than he is doing to solve the issues of the Chickamauga Lock. What he said to me confirms your statement and it included the fact that the new lock will be worked on as funds become available. The funds come from a big pot that is for all Army Corps of Engineers projects, not just Tennessee. I cant stand politicians thinking they are the one and only person that can solve project X. You think Chuck doesnt want the lock fixed? You think hes kidding when he wishes to stand firm on not raising taxes and user fees? And even if we raised the lock user fees, will that money be dedicated specifically to this lock? Does she understand how the Army Corps of Engineers works, and that they dont have a local office where you can say fix our lock, please and have construction start tomorrow? Proud Mary is attempting to score totally false political points by using the red herring of the Chickamauga Lock to try to prove, somehow, that Chuck isnt doing his job properly. She might as well be blaming him for road conditions in Iceland. Nevermind the fact Ive tried to unsubscribe from her e-mail blather over 20 times with no success. Shes complaining that Chuck is a slick businessman while wearing that stethoscope claiming she will cure a sick Congress. With your brand of diagnosis, Mary, the prognosis for you serving this district would likely end up with a malpractice suit. The first thing you need to do, Mary, is figure out what Congress does and how. Im deeply apologetic your well-funded campaign looks like a shoestring job with both shoes tied to your hands. Chuck Fleischmann is my friend, my Congressman and in my opinion he is doing a worthy job I wish to continue.
