My attention today is drawn from the suggestion made by ICC - TopicsExpress

My attention today is drawn from the suggestion made by ICC Prosecution counsel Anton Steynberg that President Kenyatta should appoint acting deputy president when the democritically elected Deputy President William Ruto (elected in a free and fair elections and upheld by supreme court of the land) is attending hague trials. The ICC prosecution should understand that Kenyan leadership is governed by a constitution whereby the Posts of President and Deputy President are Elective constitutional office whose holders have been given mandate by Kenyans through democratic free and fair elections for a period of five years, the Kenyan constitution does not provide for appointment of person or persons in acting capacity in those offices as proposed by the ICC prosecution counsel, it only provides for their replacement under Chapter 9 articles 146 and 150 for President and Deputy President respectively of which these hague cases do not merit this. Therefore the so called ICC prosecution council ought to read and think before he talks, it only confirms that these hague cases are political aimed at creating power vacuum for them to put their preferred remnants to power through backdoor. Kenyans will safeguared their constitution jealously and will not allow ICC short sighted and myopic schemes to succeed. Shetani Ashindwe!
