My aunt Madeleine (Lefebvre Dit) Boulanger (Quebec City) gave me a 1926 RCA Gramophone and I received many of my grand mothers Anne-Marie Gagne-Chabots (Sainte-Henedine, Dorchester) 78 disks; I was disappointed not to find any of Alys Robis recordings to know her better then, to find her true story. (The one I had was almost twice as large with the speaker -mechanical- in the middle; It is surprising how good it can sound : it depend on the quality of the disk and the needle.)
