My baby girl turns one today. Looking back to the morning she was born, I miss that day greatly. Heading to the hospital, after my water breaking at midnight, knowing I was going to meet my baby that day. The excitement and adrenaline had me in a all time high. Seriously, I wrote my birthday, address, social and name wrong. I wrote my name wrong. All that was fun repeatedly having to correct. There was no difficulty in the delivery. I only pushed for 4 1/2 minutes. She made it so easy on me. They had to clear her lungs and clean her immediately due to her pooping in me, so I just watched as their hands went to work wiping, weighing, counting etc. as she flailed her arms, crying and turning red with anger. She was perfect; not even a birthmark. My perfect angry beet. Then it was my turn. They laid her on they chest. For Matt and I, it was just Tori. At that moment, nothing else existed, but our little world and what we would do for her. She surprises us everyday with what she accomplishes. From lifting her head off my chest moments after she was born to having a growing vocabulary of 13 words/phrases. I cant wait to see what great things God has in store for this determined little girl. Mommy and Daddy love you, baby girl. Happy 1st Birthday, my Tori Elizabeth.
