My beautiful 7 week old baby boy was sleeping for 2-3 hour stretches every night since he was 2 weeks old... Starting off the night with a 3-4 hour stretch after his dream feed. Over the last 5 days, hes barely been napping (I struggle to get him to sleep for even 45 minutes at a time), and hes been waking every 45-60 minutes at night. He wakes up screaming bloody murder (hes barely cried previously), and is hard to console. All he wants to do is be at my breast, but theres no way hes hungry every 45 minutes. Im completely exhausted and have no idea what to do for him anymore. I feel so hopeless... And like Im losing my mind. He only wants me, and wont calm down with my husband holding or comforting him. If this is a growth spurt, its way worse than the first one he went through... Our doctor recommended .5ml of Advil, in case hes teething (he been blowing bubbles, etc), but thats not working. Weve tried gripe water, amber teething anklet, lots of love and snuggles... Everything. Nothing is working. Hes sensitive to dairy and milk protein, so Ive completely changed my diet to eliminate all of those things including soy (at 3 weeks old), and he takes probiotic drops. Ive done everything i can think of to help him... And nothing works this past week. Anyone experienced something similar? Im desperate for sleep and the return of my happy-go-lucky baby!!-Anonymous
