My blond-ness shown thru in spades today! I spent much of the day lost. Not just my usual I have no idea where I am but thats okay cuz Im on an adventure. I usually have a general idea of where I am in relation to getting un-lost. Oh no this was truely I have no freakin idea where I am and cant figure it out lost. My internal compass which is usually spot on felt like it was spinning on the north pole. I did finally stop the spin found north and got back on track. While lost I stopped at an old water wheel grain mill, (thats the rental next to it) and an Abby dated 15 C which also had a cemetery attached to it. A cool looking tree drew me in then the stones had me fascinated and wondering around in them. The stories and family history told on them is better then looking at someones family tree. If you can zoom in read the stones and follow the lineage. Saw many signs announcing a pottery exhibit at an art gallery so stopped in to check it out. Huge exhibit encompassing two buildings and the stuff looked like my 1st semester of class stuff. Big, chunky, certainly not thrown on center, glazes crawling... really Avis Cherichetti my instructor would have recommend I try another art form. Yet I heard people fawning over it. Go figure.... and the prices of his pieces!!!!! Im doing something all wrong. Late lunch at my own pub, had to show my drivers license to prove it. Then back in the car to do some hard driving to get up to the Gateway area where I am tonight. Nice small seaside town, pretty church in the center with a taste of home found right around the corner. Staying in the crows nest of a B&B with my own peat fire place and a sky light window which takes up half of the ceiling. I can only stand up straight in the center of the room because of all the cool funky angles! Planning to sleep with the sky light wide open listening to the ocean waves.
