My blood pressure is through the roof after reading this outrageous report from a Connecticut commission, which blames homeschooling for the Sandy Hook massacre. The shooter was homeschooled for a year and a half out of his 13 years of education. The commissions response is to crack down on homeschoolers via more monitoring from the public school system. Seriously? Thats all theyve got? I wonder who theyre going to crack down on for the other 11 1/2 years of this kids education, not to mention all the violent kids and shootings that have occurred in public schools. Sixteen educators were on the commission. I wonder if any of them were homeschool educators. Also of interest is that the shooter was autistic and according to his aunt, his mother homeschooled him because she was battling with the school district. Sound familiar?
