My boxer mix keeps getting yeast infections between his toes. The vet had me mixing monistat and antibiotic ointment together which clears it up pretty decent but it comes right back unless I put it on daily. I feed 4Health salmon/potato- no corn no wheat no soy. It also has no chicken which Ive seen a lot of bully breeds turn out to be allergic too. What else could be causing it? His immune system isnt the greatest from being starved as a pup but hes definitely a lot better than he was when we adopted him last July. He had it when there was snow and now again when its dry out. I wipe his feet everytime he comes in. I put some gold bond on them tonight to see if that does anything. Any other suggestions for treatment? The vet said what I put on is equivalent to what they give me other than steroids (EKT ointment). I dont like to use steroids as they compromise the immune system and his already has been.
