My boys came home with Social Studies homework yesterday: - TopicsExpress

My boys came home with Social Studies homework yesterday: Interview your parents about 9-11. So, I told them (again), in painful detail about that morning, what I saw and what I felt, what my friends in NYC at the time experienced, of those who lost their lives, including the first responders, but what I told them I WANTED THEM TO REMEMBER is that the terrorists (aka cowards) that carried these deeds out wanted us to feel FEAR, but instead, we came TOGETHER to be STRONG and HELP ONE ANOTHER. I told them that everywhere you looked, you saw American Flags (ours always flies). I told them to always be vigilant, never fearful, and to practice random acts of kindness not only today, but as often as possible. I will never forget.
