My brother Burt has been very ill over the past five years fighting Mesothelioma. He never complained about how he felt or how unfair it was that he had been inflicted with the disease, and truly was a role model for bravery and courage. During some of his down spells when he had pneumonia or other things that threatened his life I asked for prayers to be said for him and they always worked. When his treatments stopped working and the end was drawing near I stopped asking for prayers for his recovery but rather for him to have peace and grace as he was accepted into the Kingdom of the Lord. That happened late this afternoon. He is with God now and I humbly appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers you shared. If you would like to say a prayer for his soul now I would appreciate it, but I feel confident that he will be spending eternity in peace living in the eternal light in the Mansion of the Lord. If I could speak for him I think he would say, I have fought the good fight, I finished the course, I kept the faith. He was truly one of the kindest, most loving souls to ever walk the earth.
