My brother and i were at the park the other day just to stop and have a little lunch.....we walked over to the pond (they call it a *lake* around here....lol).....As we were enjoying watching the ducks, geese and other water fowl play and walk around the shore of the water, and two ducks approached me......here comes what looked like a nice scene at first....an old man, possibly the grandpa, with his grand-daughter, perhaps no more than 6 or 7 years old out at the park on a lovely day. The trouble is, the little girl had a stick in her hand and was running towards the geese and other birds chasing them away....the birds were safe and ran into the water, and yes, the girl was in no danger. I wondered what other people might think seeing this....Aw, how cute, the little girl with her grandpa chasing ducks by the lake... i was not so impressed or found it so lovely however and thought. couldnt the old man tell her not to wave a stick around scaring birds away?? If that were my daughter, i would teach her right and tell her...Dont wave your stick around and scare those birds away chasing them around. How would you like it if a strange person twice as big as you are was chasing you around waving a stick?? Teach the children well and perhaps the world will also change into a better place.... **Every animal knows more than you do.** - Nimiipuu (Nez Perce) saying
