My brother finished work yesterday and only had a couple of hours sleep before I woke him up for church...After church we have dinner at the Tafitis and my brother manages to get another hour of sleep in before I wake him up to help me with the refreshments for our wards temple fireside. As were loading stuff into the kitchen I hear kids in the hall way telling knock knock jokes...knock knock, whos there? I am up...well you know the rest. They all come running into the kitchen and they all stand around Robert Schuster as he sits down to cut up the bread in a zombie like state. These inquisitive kids ask him what hes doing and no reply...then Ane (bishops daughter) says knock knock and still Rob doesnt reply. They all just stare at him and Ill never forget Annes cute look of puzzlement and then one of the other girls ask Whats wrong? So I jump in and say Sorry guys, hes just tired. There was a long pause and then she says Hes not the only one thats tired. I couldnt help but giggle at these 5 and 6 year olds. Then to top it all off, as I fill up a couple of bowls of softened cream cheese for spreading on the cut up french sticks they all come over to me and start asking if they can have some...i give them the big spoon that I used to scoop it with and then they all start licking and fingering the cream cheese off the spoon and Ane says This is yuck butter....Who needs TV when you have kids...hehe
