My brother is living in China for 6 months and writes via email to me every week since Facebook is banned in China. Happy Monday... Charlie wrote: "Let’s make a deal. I’ll appreciate this amazing opportunity to see a different culture and different part of the world, and you have to appreciate every little thing about America. For the rest of the day, appreciate everything you have and do - every little thing. Appreciate being born in the U.S., a developed country. Appreciate having a backyard and swimming pool. Take a walk or bike-ride outside today and appreciate the fresh air. Appreciate the option of having more than one child. Appreciate brothers and sisters. Appreciate little things like Twizzlers... Appreciate clean water and high speed Internet. Appreciate being able to own and drive a car. Appreciate gas at less than $4 a gallon (I know it seems absurd but compared to the rest of the world it’s not too bad). Appreciate a very low inflation rate. Treat yourself out to lunch today and appreciate it. Everyone needs to appreciate our Government whether you agree with it or not...Appreciate all American sports for that matter. Appreciate personal space, for goodness sakes. If you are a women appreciate the fact that you weren’t born in India (no disrespect to their culture but things I have been reading about India lately, particularly about women, is horrifying.) Appreciate your education. Let’s appreciate all our problems that really aren’t problems at all (“I got uptown problems, which aren’t problems at all”). Let’s appreciate family and friendships and make the most of every opportunity. It seems so random that we are who we are and I never used to think about that. "
