My brother was at work (in Lex) and cut the tip of his finger OFF with a circular saw. It went through his finger completely, he still had a glove on, his worker was following the blood looking for his fingertip on the ground. The worker didnt know it, but my brother had it inside the glove grasping it with his other hand. He went to the ER, they put it back on. He said the worst part was the cleaning of it. There was a big piece of metal and smaller debris in both ends of it. The Dr told him if he had waited any longer (which he didnt, wait to go), he wouldve lost his entire finger because of what the piece of metal did to the stub. His fingertip is back on, but it is numb and he probably wont regain feeling. It was his pointer finger, right at the top-most joint. So, about 1/2 an inch of finger, and bone, was gone. I hope they did a good job of reattaching it in Lexington, or else he might need other surgeries to be able to use it or get feeling back. A saw, going through flesh, muscle, nerves, and skin, the piece literally falling off into a glove, and people looking for it. I wouldve passed out. I would have been on the floor unconscious. My brother can handle anything and not freak out, scream, cry, its crazy. He is one tough bird!
