My brother, who is an historian and knows more about families in St. George than anyone, gave me an Ancestry DNA kit for my birthday. He says he doesnt know of anyone who has ever done this, so I am breaking new ground. It is a kit that has to be returned to some place and 2 months later they send you the results. Whatever that might be, I dont know. Where your ancestors lived? Can they match you up with 10th cousins? My people came from Ireland and Germany and Sweden and Scotland. Will they tell me which countries my DNA most likely came from? If anyone else has had the same test, can they tell us we are related? Do you know anyone who has sent in DNA to Ancestry DNA? Is it a hoax and a fraud? Is it worth bothering with? You can be sure that the science on this is changing every day. Im going to have to read up on this. Any information you may post here would be appreciated.
