My brother, whom I love dearly, was hit by a car while crossing the road this past weekend. His leg was shattered and his neck was broken. At first we were not sure he was going to make it, and then there was great concern about his mobility. I have been at the hospital and at a hotel near the hospital the last several days. He has had two surgeries, and the prognosis looks hopeful. I am home now trying to get caught up on work (happy to be back at the keyboard, actually!) while others are watching over him. Will probably go back this weekend for a day or two. Cross your fingers for my brother, who has a good, good heart. We are very optimistic. Things looked really bad at first but now are much more hopeful.
