My brothers and sisters! So stoked to give you another update. This past week Ive been blessed with the presence of my seester and best friend Stina! We spent a little time in Antigua, and as 2 baristas who love coffee we got to see a huge coffee plantation and the barista Arturo let us go behind the bar and make some of the best espresso Ive ever tasted: fresh, fair trade, and treated with delicacy. Mmmm. We adventured to Honduras with our translator and caring friend, David. We spent time with the village of Joconal. We prayed with the sick, poor, widow, and fatherless. We spent a lot of time with the youth, sharing testimonies, playing games, doing skits, singing, and praying with them. We basically brought a Young Life to the village :D. We were so stoked that the Lord allowed us to do ministry with youth that we loved doing togeth in the states, in a different cultural setting. The youth have cell groups that they go out in every Friday, visiting homes of people that theyve been praying for and talking to throughout the week, to talk to them about the gospel, so rad. We got to go to a meeting of pastors that unite together to encourage each other on strategies on how to develop more, an important and effective concept that I was so encouraged by. El Iglesia de Dios had so much passion, and the development of ministries, leadership, discipleship, and evangelism was so encouraging. One of the days, there was no electricity, so they canceled the Saturday night service. Yet still, 30 faithful members came with a few candles and they worshiped and prayed to the Lord, it was beautiful. The glory of God was displayed as always in the mountains and nature, it was breathtaking. Neither us or the village wanted our departure. Stina even cried, precious. Pray that the Joconal will be provided with the funds to build new houses for the poor and sick, and for the plan they have for a new church, with a vision to reach 1,000 people, to come into fruition. The Lord has provided the property, but its a project of faith as they continue praying for it. I learned so much from this beautiful community, and from finally having someone to externally process to (Stina). The plans have changed and instead of Belize we will be going back to Guatemala to minister to the Chirammos village, a village I bonded with a year and a half ago, and we are so excited. Praise the Lord for ministry with my seester! Miniseestery :D. Miss you guys thank you for supporting me and reading this! I hope youre encouraged! All the love!
