My buddy Jed is gone. Ive never had a cat who seemed so human…who would look so deeply into my eyes. When I wasnt home hed station himself at my office door and wait. When I was home he was there with me…bedroom, bathroom, garden, he always wanted to know what I was up to. No matter where I was, if I sat for a moment he had to be on my lap…of course the cello frustrated him but hed sit and listen. His favorite was to stretch out on my knee when Id pause from working in the garden, looking out at the world and turning occasionally to catch my gaze and comment on how wonderful it all was.
