My car is now officially a casualty of the city of St Pauls inability to repair potholes. I hit one today and after that my front suspension felt loose. I figured it was just the tie rod end and an easy $20 fix. Not so, I bought the tie rod end and started in on replacing it. Hitting the pothole actually cracked the metal on the steering knuckle where the tie rod end seats and so now the knuckle has to be replaced. This is a much more unusual outcome and less common repair. Guess I wont be driving it to work tomorrow and will have to visit the junkyard to get a replacement. Thank you St Paul!
