My chihuahua/terrier puppy, Lusinda Williams, a grand old soul - TopicsExpress

My chihuahua/terrier puppy, Lusinda Williams, a grand old soul with a passion for the #Americansongbook, recently dug up my #Darknessontheedgeoftown boxset that Mark A Getchis sent to me a few years back. Shes been listening to it on the way to the Barkhaus every morning, blasting Promised Land, and bracing herself for the wild adventures of the day with all her #bigdog buddies. While the production and lyrical choices of songs like Factory have her raising questions of fetishization of working class culture, after many listens, and in the context of the greater tornado of salvation that is the album, shes loving the album even more each listen. Her Darkness obsession, especially Streets of Fire , Racing in the streets and of course, the jaunty, harmonica saxophone scream guitar of Promised Land, coupled with the inspirational message that we are stronger than nature if we have the faith to stand up to it, the faith to look our failures and our broken dreams right in the eye, has led to her plunging deep into the heart of The River today, with her #Bose noise-cancelling headphones, and #googlelyrics providing extra support. After her Fourth Listen, Stolen Car is her favorite track. Any thoughts on The River? Favorite tracks, musings, or mishaps? Its got to be one of his best, where should Lusinda steer the car next? https://youtube/watch?v=eS7tat0J5qQ
