My children amaze me. They arent perfect, they have wounds, scars, and short comings but when a difficulty gets lobbed our way they know exactly what to do to handle it. They pray! They pray together one after the other and then they wait expecting God to answer them. They also dont give up on people and they dont let rejection stop them from loving those who reject them. Im amazed by all of that! My oldest son (hes 7) said it best when he said mom, we have to love people no matter what they say, or what they do even if they try to stick a knife in our back because God will honor is for loving them anyway, and he will make them punished for hurting us. But if we dont love them when they put a knife in our back God cant defend us because we become like them. We cant do that we have to love so God can be our defense. Thats the best sermon Ive heard on self defense in a long time. Im proud of my son and his wisdom.
