My children and grandchildren hosted celebration gathering to honor me for education achievement. Today, I finally watched my graduation celebration video tape. Listening to my family members and friends compliment my achievements and their encouragements to continue walking in the path of our Noble Indigenous people. Michael Dick shared how our Noble Indigenous people carried us forward to pass on their knowledge to each generation. Michael saw me as one of the individuals who could continue the knowledge transfer to our children and Musgamagw Dzawada’neuxw people. I feel so honored and humbled that Michael seen me as one of his sisters. My brother Charlie recognized my commitment in Indigenous health and the numerous people that have benefited from my advocacy and work. To hear all the observations shared has inspired me not to give up but to continue our journeys forward. My heart is filled with gratitude and love for everyone’s support love and respect. All my children and grandchildren did an amazing job hosting the gathering.
